Well equipped little holiday cottage with a friendly village pub just around the corner. Everything we needed in the kitchen, comfy bedroom, lovely well equipped shower room and cosy living room. We will definitely stay here when we next come to the east coast of Yorkshire.

We stayed here for a short break between Christmas and the new year. It's such a peaceful place. Off road car parking is no problem. The cottage we stayed in was beautiful. Everything possible had been carefully thought through. Everything is high quality and it feels so homely. The cottages are set away from the main road but access is so easy to travel around the area. We would definitely return when we revisit this area.

We had a week break at Blacksmith's Cottages. An absolutely charming group of buildings, affording either a studio, a one bedroomed cottage, or the blacksmiths cottage for family accommodation.
We stayed in the Smithy ( one bedroom) that also boasts a handy sofa bed.
These properties have been thoughtfully & artfully planned & renovated to an exceptionally high standard with every detail you could think of. Beautifully appointed, but with a definite feel of "home". The kitchen has hob/oven /micro/ washerdryer/ integral fridge & a dishwasher!! Spotlessly clean, the owners leave you all the little extras that you might need. They are a friendly & welcoming couple, who make you feel at home immediately. The cottage is soo pretty, french doors leading to a very pretty garden complete with 2 sets of furniture, for you to sit & have your morning coffee listening to the birds singing.
Most impressive is the information pack they have provided. This is extremely comprehensive! Not only information about eateries near & far, but places to visit with lots of local information. Also included is instruction for all appliances in the cottage, very helpful indeed. The directions given for local walks for example is a very helpful addition. A lovely, peaceful place to stay. We cycled alongside the golf club into Filey, almost an "all country lane" journey.
50 yards away at the end of the street is the Ship Inn. Lovely for a quick drink. Hosts are friendly & relaxed. We enjoyed Sunday lunch which was fantastic with the biggest & best homemade Yorkshire puds!
We thoroughly recommend this place, which was very reasonably priced for the excellent standards of comfort & luxury.

We’ve recently stayed at Blacksmiths Cottage (The Little Smithy) and I can say it was absolutely amazing. The hosts were there when we arrived and demonstrated great hospitality and friendliness. The accommodation was very welcoming and literally spotless. You couldn’t find a single thing out of place or that wasn’t clean. The facilities were wonderful and everything worked as should. There were many complimentary features and the addition of the small private garden was luxurious. I would recommend to anyone who wants to live unbelievably comfortably while exploring North Yorkshire! 10/10

Absolutely stunning cottages in a private courtyard, plenty of parking spaces, gorgeous grounds, beautiful communal areas and a private garden with each cottage. They really are done to the highest spec, we thoroughly enjoyed our mini break, warm, cozy and spacious. Exploring the Filey area was a real treat so many lovely little villages and tearooms. The local pub is wonderful and really friendly.
The owners Mark and his wife Georgie were so welcoming on arrival, such a lovely couple. We will definitely be returning and recommending to all our friends near and far. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
